About Dr. Rosita Arvigo

Dr. Rosita Arvigo is a woman with an exceptional and powerful life story.

She has lived and studied in central America with local-traditional medicine people for over 30 years. Among them, midwife Miss Hortense Robinson, and Don Elijio Panti, who was a medicine man and shaman in the State of Belize.

Rosita Arvigo is a herbalist and Dr. of Naprapathy – a medicine approach based on the assumption that many illnesses stem from mis-aligned ligaments, tendons or other connective tissues, and healing needs to be through manipulation.

Keenly and devotedly, Rosita Arvigo combined and merged traditional knowledge and her own deep knowledge of anatomy, physiology and natural healing methods, creating the method known as *The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy™.

Today she heads the organization, The Abdominal Therapy Institute.

The method is taught in the USA, England Europe and Israel.

Rosita Arvigo has established and supports many projects for the conservation and study of Rain Forest medicinal plants, and she is also active in the Belize traditional healing community.

Arvigo has written a number of books on the healing plants of the Rain Forest, as well as the story of her life. She continues to teach and train teachers and therapists in this method all over the world.
